Happy Early Birthday Audrey!!!

I can’t believe that Audrey is going to be 2 on Saturday! 

The time since Audrey was born has flown by, but at the same time, sometimes I can’t believe that Audrey has only been in our lives for two years!

There are two others students that have kids that were born the same week as Audrey.  We thought it would fun to have a combined birthday party for them. 

Unfortunately, Mason had two comprehensive finals the morning after Audrey’s party, so he wasn’t able to go.  Before Audrey and I left to go to the party, we lit Audrey’s candles and let her open her present from us so Mason could be there.

Leaves and Eyes

Audrey has loved playing in the leaves that have fallen in our yard. We have a ton. It’s not funny. We’re not even going to attempt to rake up the back yard. It would take and entire day and probably like 50 bags…no thank you!

Audrey wanted to be wrapped up like a baby.  Awe…so cute.

Mason brought home his gear cause he wouldn’t be needing it during finals.  He was studying pediatric optometry, so he decided to try it out on Audrey. Audrey was so good! She thought it was hilarious! She was smiling so much it was hard for Mason to see through her squinty eyelids! Click on the picture to see her squinting.

Random Cell Phone Pics

Every once in a while I try to email myself the pics from my cell phone so I can delete them…from my phone.

Here’s just a few fun ones I found.

Trying to get Audrey to take a nap didn’t work this day. She was so obviously tired though.  She made herself this nest of blankets and pillows.

The carseat was inside for some reason this day.  Audrey sat in it and begged me to buckle her in.  She stayed in it for about 30 minutes…I actually got a lot done.

When Mason went hunting I took Audrey to get her fingernails painted.  She sat perfectly still the whole time and even held her hands in front of the fans until the paint was dry. Best part…it only cost me 3 bucks!

Different year…same scream. Plus…super creepy Santa…right?

Girls Night!

Last Friday a bunch of us girls were able to go out to celebrate some birthdays! We had a ton of fun going downtown to Beale street.  We stopped at the Crepe Maker first and had some super delicious crepes before we headed to a piano bar.  We had a total blast!

Same Day…Seriously.

This day started out so wonderfully. Audrey was acting so good and wonderful!

 

Then, Audrey decided to color all over herself with a pen while I was in the shower.

 

Then, to top things off, Audrey decided it would be great to get into my makeup while I was laying on the couch trying not to puke. 

In retrospect, all of the naughty things Audrey did, she did because I wasn’t watching her.  Can’t get too mad when I basically leave her to her own devices!

Pumpkin Carving

We got lazy (or very sick) this year and didn’t carve our pumpkin until Sunday…which I guess was Halloween anyways!

On Friday I joined the Southaven mother’s group for their Halloween party. Pretty sure Audrey has a major crush on this little cutie.  Hayden… or as Audrey calls him, Hay Hay.  They held hands during the cake walk…melted my heart!

Trunk or Treat! Audrey LOVED this! Totally got into it.

And of course, in Audrey fashion, sees an open dark field and started running towards it.  I guess Dora the Explorer was a very fitting costume for her!

Dirty Face

Every year, all of the Mormons that go to the Optometry school get together for a BBQ. 

This year it was at a huge park downtown. We didn’t get the tables next to the playground, but the kids made do with what they had…dirt.

This is Audrey after we got home. COVERED in dirt! Sure, she did have one good face plant, but seriously, that a lot of dirt on that girl!

Love the facial expression too! If you click on the pics you can see the dirt better.  Doesn’t look too bad now!

Crafting With Audrey

Poor Audrey has been cooped up in the house a lot lately, so I thought I would let her make a big mess and help me cover some pine cones from our back yard with sprinkles.  She had a blast. She made a huge mess.  She ate A LOT of sprinkles!
