Here's a good shot of her face...it's already changed so much!
Failed "photo shoot" shot. I think she looks cute though!
Mason's idea of a perfect day...xbox and holding Audrey
She finally got to meet grandma and grandpa Rogers!...a week and a half later....stupid snow!!!
Mason and I tried to do our own photo shoot only to discover that we both really stink at taking pictures....so I guess we're going to Target to get some really good ones. Here's some pictures from the last week or so....I can't believe she's already almost two weeks old! She's doing so good! We got really lucky with a good baby. Last night she actually slept for six hours before I woke her up to feed her! She's starting to recognize the difference between night and day...and I get to sleep longer...yipee!

Not Quite Here

Ok...sorry I haven't updated in a while. I was really hoping that my next post would be one with pictures of the baby. Oh well. My due date is tomorrow! I can't believe it! So far, there's not much progression in the baby getting here department. My doctor says that the baby's ready to come but my body just isn't getting it. Anyways, my blood pressure has stayed down so now we just get to wait for her to come on her own. I have another appointment on Monday....if I haven't had the baby by then we are going to schedule an appointment to have me induced. Wish us luck! If I end up going to the appointment on Monday I will update afterwards! Here's to hoping that I don't make it through the weekend!!!

Thanks Emily! I needed something to do at work today! I went back to the DR. on Friday and although my blood pressure did rise, it was still in the acceptable range so we are just keeping a close eye on it. Baby Update

I had a doctors appointment yesterday and discovered that I have really high blood pressure all of a sudden. I'm going back in tomorrow to get it checked again. If it keeps raising, my doctor is going to induce me. So...we could be having the baby much sooner than we anticiapted! I am officially full term, so the baby will be nice and healthy! Wish us luck!

Allright...Allright

After putting it off forever and lots of requests...here is a picture of my belly at 34 weeks. Yes, I pulled up my yellow shirt cause it made me look fat(ter that usual). Also, don't mind the messy counter. Consider yourselves lucky...this is the only belly picture I've taken since the one I posted when I was like 16 weeks. I suppose I might regret that someday...but not yet! Only six weeks to go...Yahoo!

Beautiful Home for Sale

Hi everyone! My sister is trying to sell her home in Hurricane Utah, so she can move close to me in Salt Lake(or I guess close to her husband who just got a new job up here). I'm very exicted to have her move to Salt Lake...but she can't until her house sell's. So Please, if you or anyone you know is looking for a home check out her house blog here! This house is BEAUTIFUL...check it out!

Thanks for the Tip Kari!!!

Kari used this site to edit her wedding pictures. I thought hers looked cool, and I'm sitting in my house all alone without a car cause Mason's at work so I figured I would check it out. Here's what I came up with. I'm seriously considering getting the second one printed out and framed! Enjoy!
P.S. Mason has an interview at Pacific University in Oregon on October 17!

Mason Rocks!

We just found out today that Mason got accepted to Southern College of Optometry in Memphis!!! I am so proud of Mason, never had any doubt that he would get in. Now, the only place he needs to interview is Pacific University in Oregon... that was our other top choice...hopefully we'll be able to choose between the two!!! Love YOu Mason!!!

So Proud...Continued...

A week or two ago, Mason found out that he has another interview at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennesee!!! They literally had his application for about a week before they invited him...I am so proud! So, Mason actually leaves this Sunday for that interview on Monday! Mason is excited and nervous at the same time...and also a little sad cause he had to shave off his facial hair(this also made me quite sad).

Mason's interview at Indiana University is on September 22. We decided to make a long weekend out of it and are leaving the Friday before. We had to look pretty hard to find a hotel room... apparently it's freshman parents weekend and there's also a home football game, so the town will be packed! I'm pretty nervous about flying cause I haven't been on a commercial plane since 1st grade!

In other news...I can't sleep anymore! My back aches from the second I lay down in bed to the second I get up! I've tried sleeping on the couch, but I hate that! I'd love to hear some tips about how to get more comfy so I can sleep!

Wish us both luck!

I Love This!

This has been going around....I love it!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Quirky Quirks

Sarah tagged me...I couldn't think of six quirks that I have so I decided to do three about me and three about Mason...enjoy! 1. I have to pop my elbows constantly throughout the day. Maybe it's a tick...I don't know. If I am in a confined space and can't move my elbows to pop them, I get extremely anxious and can't think about anything else until they are popped....and then, ahhh...relief. 2. I have to follow the same routine while in the shower. I mean EXACT! I'm starting to sound more and more OCD as I write these! 3. This one drives Mason crazy...I never laugh out loud while watching TV. I don't know why...I think a lot of shows are hilarious...I'll smile...but it has to be extremely funny for me to laugh out loud. Occasionally I will make a "tst" sound when it's funny, but usually not. 1. Mason has to check to make sure the door is locked about three times before we settle in for bed. He will check it again even though he knows for SURE that the door is already locked. Most nights he will have me check the door too. Mason said that he didn't start doing this until we got married...I wonder how many times he will check the door after the baby is born! 2. Mason gets kidney stones all the time! They always seem to come when we are in St. George too! Mason drinks at least 64 ounces of water a day and has majorly cut back on his soda...not drinking any with caffiene most of the time...and he still gets them! We have tried cathing them to get them analyzed, but he also seems to pass them all at school. Yikes! Needless to say, we never go overnight ANYWHERE without taking some major prescription pain pills! 3. Mason does not procrastinate! Me, being the biggest procratinator in the world, find this amazing. During school, I put off most papers (yes, even 15 page research papers) until the night before...and still got A's may I add. Mason will start working on a paper WEEKS before it's due and often has it done about a week before it's due. Mason started working on his Optometry school application essays MONTHS ago... but they are awesome and Mason gets extremely good grades! Hopefully our kids take after Mason! I tag....Michelle, Robyn, and Kristi...who hasn't updated her blog in months...get on it! Please excuse spelling errors...it's way too early in the morning to be at work!

So Proud!!

I just had to say how proud I am of Mason! He is currently in the process of applying for Optometry school. He was actually able to apply early to Indiana University because of his excellent grades and we just found out earlier this week that he has an INTERVIEW!!! It's crazy to think that he hasn't even started his last year of school at the U and he already has an interview. The interview is in September at Indiana University...and I get to go...WAHOO! I'm sure that this will be the only one I go to though. In other news...the baby is kicking all the time! I love it! I would post a picture of my belly, but you can just refer to the one on the post below...it hasn't changed at all! I keep waiting for it to pop, but I guess I just have a lot of room in my belly. But, I'm halfway done! My office also started working four tens today...darn you, Governor Huntsman! It's going to be quite the adjustment for me to be at work in the mornings at 7 when I normally don't even wake up until 8 or later. Oh well, at least I don't have to work on Fridays anymore! The other thing that sucks is that Mason is also working for the state for the summer and working four tens. BUT I work Monday through Thursday and he works Tuesday through Friday! So stupid! Oh well!

Most Amazing Concert Ever!!!!

Me and some friends saw Coldplay in Vegas this last weekend. I have been a huge fan for years, and this is the first time I was able to see them. Can I just say, it was the most amazing thing ever! See my friend Camille's blog for pictures and a really good story! (I forgot my Camera). I probably won't go to another concert for a very long time because of the baby, but I can't think of a more perfect way to end my concert going days! VIVA LA COLDPLAY!!!

Finally Some Pictures!

I thought I would post a few pictures from last week. On Monday a bunch of us went out to dinner cause NIKA was in town! It was my first experience with Indian food. I don't think Indian food and pregnancy mix...by the way.
Also, I thought I looked really pregnant at church when I wore this dress, but it turns out that I really don't. Anyways...this is me at 16 weeks. Only one more week till we find out what we're having!

My Ultrasound Appointment in on JULY 9th!

Quick Update

I would have posted again sooner, but for some reason it wouldn't let me. Not too much is going on. I've had to remove two of my foster kids from their parents the last month...not fun, but other than that work is going good. I heard the baby's heartbeat at my last appointment. It was beating 158 times per minute...my doctor said that it's heartbeat is in the girl range! But, he also said that about all 0f my sister in law's four boys. My ultrasound appointment is set for June 9th! Hopefully the baby will cooperate so we can find out what we're having. Also, Mason took his OAT(Optometry Admissions Test) and did really good! He has a very competitive score, but is taking it again because he's disapointed in his reading score. If he get's his reading score up, he will also be competitive for scholarships! Oh yeah! Caroline, Camille, Cami and I are going to see Coldplay in Vegas in July! WAHOO!

Happy Anniversary to Me!!!...and Mason

Well, it has officially been TWO YEARS that Mason and I have been married! The time has gone by so fast! I got so lucky to find Mason and I can't imagine my life with anyone else. Mason is so driven, and I can honestly say that I have no fears about our future together and the kind of life that Mason will provide for our family.
So to Mason, if you read this, I love you so much and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together!
P.S. I know I said I was going private forever ago...I still am, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
P.P.S. I am 9 1/2 weeks pregnant!!!!

Look What I Made!

Not the best picture...but... Mason's mom bought me a rag quilt kit a while ago and I decided to put it together this weekend. It's hard to really tell what it looks like, but it's cute...I swear! I really enjoyed myself when I was putting it together and I think I will try to sew more often! Thanks Thelma! P.S. My shirt is cute in real life...it doesn't look like a mumu!

Brooklane #6 Reunion!!!

Last week I got together with my old roomates. I lived with these girls from January 2004 until May 2006! They are the only roomates I have ever had. It was so nice to be able to get together and chat. The gossip was great! I had some great times with these girls... Mardi Gras, Aggie Basketball, Final Warning, Hasenphefer and the Bombdiggity, and JC Carroll, just to name a few. I have some wonderful memories with these girls and they are some of the best friends I have ever had. I love you guys! (Even though, none of them will see this!) We need to get together WAY more often!

Check out our Tats! And my New Office!

So, I have been at my current job for just a little over a year, and apparently that means I have been there long enough to get a window office. Yes, enough people have quit in the last year to vacate all of the window offices. This is a picture of the view from my new office. If you look closely, you will see that's downtown Salt Lake. It was a cloudy day, so the picture didn't turn out too well. Also, don't mind the roof of the building next door. So, we went down to Emery County this last weekend. We got a little bored during Sacrament meeting and this is what happened. Mason gave me a tattoo and I gave him one. Mason's nephew saw what we were doing and ended up giving himself and tattoo as well. Should have taken a picture of that! I guess there are a few things I could think of that would be better to do during Sacrament than give each other tattoos...whoops!

My Grandma's Yellow Purse!

My sister Robyn had a bunch of my grandma's old purses. She found this one and thought that it looked like something I would like. Heck Yes! I have a feeling that if my grandma was still alive, we would get along really well! I have no idea how old the purse is, but I'm in need of a new purse and I hope it's not too fragile for me!

I've Been Tagged!

Thanks Kari, for tagging me. I needed something to do during work today! Here are 5 little-known facts about me.
1. I absolutely cannot stand the way that marbles sound when they are rubbed together. I also cannot stand the way ice sounds when it is rubbed together. I have actually had nightmares that consisted entirely of those sounds! I'm actually getting sick right now just thinking about it.
2. I danced at the same dance studio from age 3 to age 18. When I was 18, I had the opportunity to be the lead in our annual concert. Even with all those years of dance, I could stand to be much better!
3. I played softball in high school and, apparently because of all my years of dance, when I would jump in the air to catch a ball, it looked more like a leap(with pointed toes and all). The other girls on the team would make fun of me all the time for it. Little did they know that immediately after softball practice everyday, I was on my way to dance class.
4. I love learning how to make new things!!! If you look back at my Christmas presents through the years you will find; a paper making kit, a chapstick making kit, two soap making kits, tons and tons of craft idea books, tons and tons of cook books, and every year I asked for that stupid Fingernail Art Book, and I never got it!
5. I am obsessed with changing my hair! Since I graduated high school, I haven't gone more than 3 months without either cutting or dying my hair. And now that my sister-in-law is a beautician, the possibilities are endless! I currently have an assymentrical hair cut, but I'm thinking about going super dark again and making the cut even shorter!!!
So there you have it...I tag Camille, Michelle and Arynne!

Crafting Friends

Michelle and I got together yesterday to craft. We had so much fun! Michelle made cute "Joy" letters while I worked on "Family" letters. As you can tell, I only got the F and the A done before Michelle had completely finished hers. Michelle....we've totally got to do this more often!

Why Murphy Beds and Men Don't Mix!

Mason's friend Kirk stayed with us this weekend and it reminded me of something that happened last summer when he stayed with us. If you have ever been to my house, you know that it's tiny and we have a Murphy Bed (a bed that folds out of the wall). Well, Mason and Kirk thought it would be hilarious to shut Kirk up into the wall. So, Kirk got on the bed and Mason folded him up in the wall. We are all laughing and having a good time until Kirk decided it was time to get out. Mason tried to pull the bed out of the wall when we heard a huge CRACK! The headboard on the bed broke cause Kirk was standing on it, and now he was stuck in the wall! It took a while, but we eventually got Kirk out of the wall. These are some picutres of Kirk trying to get out!

I love having some of my friend living up North so we can get together every once in a while. Angie, if you read this....next party's at your house!

I Live in Salt Lake City....For Now!

1. Price of Gas Today: Hmm...I usually don't check cause it goes straight to the credit card...but I'm pretty sure it's over 3 dollars. 2. Temperature Today: It's like 10 degrees outside with a chance of snow this afternoon...I hate winter! 3 Interesting Things About Our Neighbors: We live in a neighborhood with a lot of old people! Our nextdoor neighbors have a tiny dog named Kiwi that always greets us when we get home. Our neighbors across the street are HUGE Utah fans and always have a flag flying...their 12 year old son is the sweetest kid I have ever met...whenever it snows, he's always shoveling the elderly neighbors' homes. 4. Famous Restaurants: We just got a Cheesecake Factory very close to my house...but I haven't been yet...I hear it's about a two hour wait! We also have McDonalds!!! 5. Number of People On Our Street with Lights Still Up: No one still lights them up...but a lot of my neighbors still have them up because of the snow. 6. Top 3 Tourist Attractions Near Us: Right now it's Sundance! I think I would have to say that the ski resorts are the biggest attraction. For the Mormons...I'm sure it's Temple Square. 7. Distance from Our house to Where We Attend Church: Two blocks...you would think that we would walk...but you'd be wrong. 8. How Long Have We Lived in the House Where We Currently Reside? 20 months...the same amount of time that we have been married. 9. The Team Everyone Roots for in Our City: Either Utah or BYU...mostly Ute fans where in my neighborhood though. 10. Number of Visitors That Could Sleep Comfortably in Our Home if They Were to Visit: ZERO...Unless you want to sleep on the couch in our livingroom/bedroom. Also...Unless you're Mason's friend Kirk who loves sweet pillow talk and will sleep on our couch anytime...actually, he's staying on our couch tonight! 11. Distance Between Us and the Next Closest Relative: We live in my sister in law's basement...so family is never further than a sliding door away! 12. Local Favorite Dessert Place: Maverik Frozen Yogurt. I still don't know how long the yougurts been in the machine before I get it...but it sure tastes good. 13. Most Exciting Thing at Our House Today: We are cleaning so Kirk can stay and my awesome friends can come over tomorro and think that my house it always clean! 14. Interesting Observations About the People/Culture Where We Live: Mostly everyone here is Mormon. Those who aren't are still very nice people and at times can be way more accepting than my fellow Mormons. I've also never lived in a town where people are so resistant to help others out in little ways. You will never see anyone hold the door open for someone that's not with them and you will never see anyone go out of their way to help anyone...ever! Unless you're my husband who goes out of his way a lot only to be told that they don't need his help and to leave them alone! Needless to say, I can't wait to leave Salt Lake!

A Tourist in my own Town

The inside of the dome at the Capital...Pictures don't really do justice. Mason and I at the Capital The reception room at the Capital...this room was gorgeous! The walls are lined with gold silk! Mason praying to the Joseph Smith Sphinx at Gilgal Gardens
Today I felt like a Tourist in my own Town. Mason's dad, brother and brothers in law came to Salt Lake to go through the newly remodeled State Capital Building. Call me a nerd, but I really wanted to go and I had a lot of fun! After we went to the State Capital, we stuffed our selves silly at Chuch a Rama (mind you I went with a bunch of guys) and then we went to the Gilgal Gardens near downtown. This is a sculpture garden of works by a man named Frank Child. They are all religiously themed. The sculpture garden was interesting to say the least.
