Favorite Food

 

Audrey LOVES oatmeal.  Not instant oatmeal…she HATES  that.  No, she loves the old fashioned-has to be cooked on the stove-oatmeal. I though I’d document this half hour long process.

If you look closely, you can see that about half of what she tries to get in her mouth, ends up in her bib pocket.

River Park

One of the coolest things in Memphis is the Mississippi River Park.  This is a scale model of the entire Mississippi river with water that runs through it. The whole thing is about a 1/2 mile long and ends in a lake that represents the gulf of Mexico.  Super cool!  Of course, Audrey LOVED it.  We try to go often cause the city pools here and kinda sketchy and it’s FREE! So…come out and visit us and we’ll take you!

4 Years Later

And we’re still madly in love…imagine that!

 

Our anniversary was actually on May 13th, but I was in North Carolina for my brother’s  graduation from medical school (more on that later). 

Love you Mase and can’t wait to spend forever with you!

Da Da Dora

Audrey is OBSESSED with Dora the Explorer.  So when Nickelodeon Storytime Live, with Dora came to Memphis, we couldn’t resist taking Audrey.  Our seats were SUPER high, but Audrey absolutely loved it! There were a few different shows that were also there as well.  Audrey wasn’t too sure about seeing Dora as a grown up dressed like a little girl (as you can tell by the pic above), but she loved hearing the music really loud.

On an unrelated note, you have to look pretty close, but Audrey got into my makeup and put it all over herself.  Apparently she watches me pretty closely when I put on my eye makeup, cause she took all the same “tools” and put the makeup on…or all around…her eye.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was super warm here in  Memphis.  On Saturday we planted our garden.  It was so muddy! When we would dig a hole, it would instantly fill with water.  We’ll see how our garden turns out!  While I was at the grocery store, Audrey was helping Mason plant the garden. I thought she would just wander around the back yard the whole time, but Mason said she was very interested in what he was doing.  Above is a picture of Audrey helping Mason plant the onions.

View of our back yard from the garden. Cool huh? It’s huge!  Too bad it’s pretty much a swamp…I think we’ve got some drainage issues. I never go in the back half either because last fall when Mason was cutting the grass for the first time after we moved in (it was about 2 feet tall), he found all sorts of critters.  I don’t like critters!
