Destin, Florida

This past week we went to Destin, Fla. with some friends from Mason’s school. We all went in together and rented a condo.  We had a blast!

The beach was gorgeous! Snow white sand and super warm water.

Poor Hudsie!

Audrey loved seeing the fish around the docks…too bad we didn’t have a quarter to feed the fish!

This is what Hudson did during the entire 8-hour drive! Just kidding! He did awesome!

I looked over from my seat and saw this….both of them sleeping…and this is what I did…

yep…rode in the back seat the whole time.

Audrey was so good on the trip that we rewarded her with a pillow pet.  She was

very very happy about it.  She has been wanting one since last Christmas.

Cell Phone Pics

Some of you have already seen most of these pictures through text messages…but, I’ve just got to remember these!

 

Hudson right after getting his 2 month shots…he wasn’t going to let a little pain ruin his day.  This also counts as his official “2 Months Old” picture. P.S.  Holy Chubby! He’s really not that chubby in real life, the angle really exaggerates it.

 

I let Audrey help me paint one of my frames.  She was in complete heaven!

 

Don’t leave the girl alone with Hudson…she WILL take his diaper off…and steal his binkie.

That’s lotion all over her face.  She came up to me and said “loot mom, pitty eyes”.

This was right before Hudson and I got sprayed with that hose.  I was trying to take a picture of Hudson cause he was smiling, but I got the little sneak in action instead!

A Little bit of June and Most Of July

4th of July.  We went to a Redbirds baseball game.  They had fireworks afterwards.  It was super fun.  And yes, Audrey is doing an Irish jig in the bottom picture!

 

 

Can you tell which is Audrey and which is Hudson? Yes, ok.  Mason doesn’t agree with me, but for some reason the only time I think they look alike is when they are in the tub.  They were both about 8 weeks in these pictures.  Hudson is in the top one and  Audrey on the bottom…assuming you didn’t already know that, cause apparently they look very different.

Stripey…plus Hudson looks like he’s smiling…a little bit.

Ummm….yeah.  This is what happens when you’re nursing and assume that Audrey’s being so quiet because she’s being a good girl.  Nope…silence always means big trouble! Oh, and note to self…Audrey can reach the sharpies!  I couldn’t help laughing though, when after looking at herself in the mirror, she came up to me and said, “ Mama, I a tiger. Raaarrrh!”

Coco and Friend (A WAY overdue post)

To say that Audrey loved Coco and Friend…aka Soda and Dallin, would be a huge understatement!  Obsessed would be a more appropriate word.

Aren’t they cute? Soda won that pink dog at an arcade and gave it to Audrey. She carried it around for days.

Notice Hudson…he was not enjoying himself.

We were so sad to see everyone go home.  We miss them so much and can’t wait to see grandma and papa in a few weeks!

This Past (Month)…whoops

I’ll risk looking yucky in this picture to show one of the greatest moments of my life! Audrey loved visiting us in the hospital.

Grandma Rogers came for a week after Hudson was born. We loved having her here…she helped me more than she knows! She got up with Audrey every morning and made me realize that I wasn’t crazy…just a mom. (She also made me realize that I don’t clean very well!) Audrey was her constant shadow! Thanks so much for everything mom, we already miss you!

 

 

Mason’s sister Tara made this amazing quilt for Hudson! She’s pretty cool…she also made a comforter for Audrey’s bed…pics later.

The first bath…he was not a fan

 

We turned this window…

…and when I say “we” I mean Mason and his mom…

…into these beautiful french doors. And speaking of Mason’s mom….she came after my mom left and stayed for 3 weeks! She did so much around our house! Not only did she help cook, clean and do laundry…she also did the french doors, repaired and painted ceilings, took me shopping, made necklaces and entertained Audrey till I’m sure she wanted to scream!  Audrey never left her side the entire time she was here! (Until the boys came, that is). I appreciate so much everything that she did for me! She got up with Audrey every morning…pretty sure I never got up before 9:30 the whole time she was here! Thanks so much Thelma!! We will miss you so much! Hopefully I’ll have some pics later.

Audrey spent a lot of time outside…and naked…it’s too darn hot to not play in the water and a swim suit is just a waste of time!

These punks (Mason’s nephews Dallin and Soda) came with Mason’s dad to pick up his mom.  We are so glad they came, we had a ton of fun with them…although I’m sure they couldn’t wait to get out of Memphis and on their way to Detroit to see where Eminem lived.

Somehow they got tricked into mowing our law (ha).  It’s a huge lawn…poor boys!

Audrey called Soda “Coco”…and Dallin, “friend”…I thought that was pretty funny.  She LOVED having the boys here…she was in heaven!  Audrey loved snuggling up to them and playing with their hair.
